Changing the ruling in "Citizens United" is futile.

Bernie Sanders attack on the Supreme Court's 5 to 4 decision in the "Citizens United" case, that permits unlimited money contribution to 'independent' PACS ( Political Action Committees) is a futile attempt to 'get money out of our politics'. Of course Bernie, his followers, and many others who share the objective of getting the influence of money out of our politics are correct in their objective: getting the Oligarchic donors who buy and sell our representatives for the benefit of the Oligarchs is a necessary task to get Representative government to work.  But as long as there are Representatives to be bribed they will be bribed, Constitutional Amendment, Congressional laws simply won't stop the Oligarchs buying Representatives.

The solution is to remove the Representatives from the government. If there are no Representatives to make the laws they can't be bribed. And no Representatives implies that the people must muscle up to the task and vote directly on the laws under which they live. We the People must make our own laws, debate them before voting on them, and then vote.

The Founding Fathers ( read this as the founding Oligarchs ) did not believe man was wise enough to govern himself; or at least they shouldn't be allowed to govern themselves in defiance of the wiser, better, more Oligarchic path of having only land owning, college educated, better trained in political science, members of the intelligentsia, that is, men like the Founding Fathers as the Executives and legislative Representatives, and Judges of the United States of America. The Founding Fathers fixed things so the people never vote directly on the laws they live under, never directly vote for the Executives, and never vote, directly or otherwise, on the Judges. The power of the people, the power of the citizens, and responsibility of the citizens, to govern themselves was removed from the citizens by the Constitution when it made the Legislature a set of elected Representatives, the Executives selected by members of the electoral College, and Judges appointed for life by the Chief Executive, with the 'advice and consent' of the Senate.  The Representatives that stand between the people and laws they live under, between the people and the Executives who Administer the Laws, who stand between the people and the Judges who interpret the laws are the governing bodies of this land, and not the people, certainly, not the people. Andit is so because the people are not wise enough to govern themselves.

To get these Representatives, who Represent their own views, their own prejudices, and the views and prejudices of the Oligarchs who bribe them to Represent the views of the people has proven nearly impossible. I admit it does happen, but much too infrequently.

To end the Oligarchy of the United States, we must end the Republic of the United States and found the Democracy of the United States where the people vote on the laws, the Executives, and the Judges without someone between them and the laws, Executives, and Judges. We must have an Actual Democracy.
