There is a set of humanities instincts that support war. And a set that doesn't. WE openly envied Japan's post-war Constitution. But America's recent sowing of power for the sake of power and then the implication some unsubstantiated philosophy that might makes right has obviously portrayed our unreliability to the world. An assertion of "America First" appears as challenge of superiority to all other nations and philosophies and forces division over cooperation within many of one time allies. The civilized world is being pushed to "take care of the home team" first. WE appear to be what many saw us to be, "The Ugly Americans". It's a pity.
